RCF Installed Sound Solutions Serve the New Polonia Bytom Stadium
Bytom, Poland — The new Polonia Bytom football stadium has been completed with a comprehensive sound system serving the stadium stands, sports commentator position, and VIP areas. Designed to support clear announcements, reliable daily operation, and consistent sound distribution, the system was delivered as part of the venue’s phased development.
The sound system was designed, supplied, and commissioned by TOMMEX, RCF’s official distributor for installed sound products in Poland. The stadium project was completed in two phases. Between 2022 and 2023, construction included the heated pitch, east stand, and a three-story clubhouse. The second phase, completed in 2026, added the fully covered west stand and completed the clubhouse.
For the first phase, TOMMEX implemented a stadium sound system based on RCF P Series loudspeakers. The installation uses RCF P 6215 and RCF P 3108 models, selected for outdoor fixed installations requiring controlled coverage and intelligible voice reproduction.
The RCF P 6215 is a weatherproof, full-range, wide-dispersion, coaxial two-way loudspeaker system with 600 W RMS power handling, 134 dB maximum sound pressure level, 60° × 60° constant directivity, and an IP55-rated cabinet with UV protection. The RCF P 3108 is a weatherproof, full-range, two-way loudspeaker designed for professional indoor and outdoor applications, offering 300 W RMS power handling, 125 dB maximum sound pressure level, 90° × 60° constant directivity, and IP55 protection.
The system is powered by RCF QPS 10K and RCF QPS 6.0K professional amplifiers. Both models are four-channel Class HD amplifiers designed for installed and professional audio applications. The QPS 10K delivers up to 4 × 2,500 W at 2 ohms, while the QPS 6.0K delivers up to 4 × 1,500 W at 2 ohms. Signal management and mixing are handled by Yamaha equipment, including a Yamaha MTX5-D matrix processor and a Yamaha MG16XU mixing console.
The second phase extended the sound system to the new west stand using the same RCF P Series platform. RCF P 3108 and RCF P 6215 loudspeakers, powered by RCF QPS 10K and RCF QPS 6.0K amplifiers, provide a consistent system architecture across the expanded venue.
The VIP area was equipped with an RCF public address system based on RCF MQ 80P loudspeakers. The MQ 80P is a compact two-way horn-loaded sound projector designed for clear voice and music reproduction in medium-size environments, with 90° × 60° constant directivity and suitability for public address and background or foreground music systems.
The VIP system is powered by the RCF DMA 162P, a two-channel Class D power amplifier with 2 × 160 W output, onboard DSP processing, RCF speaker presets, FiRPHASE linear phase processing, and RDNet readiness for networked management.
