Yes events to stage rcf southern open days at guildford’s g live

Following the unqualified success of their Northern Open Day at Gateshead Sage in March, RCF will present a similar event over two days in the South of England.

Yes Events will be hosting this event at G Live in Guildford on June 4th and the morning of June 5th (exact times to be confirmed).

Both RCF UK sales manager Dean Davoile, and Yes Events director Tom Chennells are excited by the prospect.

Said Davoile, “We are delighted to be partnering with Tom, and capitalising both on the momentum created by our Northern event, which was a huge success, and recent exhibition showings at Frankfurt Prolight+Sound and PLASA Focus. This will be the first opportunity for those in the southern half of the country to hear our groundbreaking new HDL 6-A and HDL 30-A in a real world situation.” The systems will be run with complementary SUB 9006-AS subwoofers.

Based nearby in Camberley, Tom Chennells has a close relationship with G Live, and says the 1000 (seated) capacity venue, with excellent acoustics, is perfect to demonstrate in particular the awesome power of the smaller HDL 6-A (2 x 6”) system.

“We will rig both this and the medium format HDL 30-A in the air. With the smaller system we will show how an 8-box hang can be flown, with all the flyware etc, for under 100 kilos and deliver an awesome punch, which I know will blow people away. With the HDL 30-A we will also demonstrate RDNet (RCF’s control and monitoring platform) with which these systems are fitted.”

RCF’s proprietary FiRPHASE filter technology, with which they are also equipped, will also be fully explained.

In addition to the flown line arrays there will be a varied selection of speakers on the ground, including TTL6, some floor monitors, EVOX and ART7 series.

“Many of these ‘speakers on sticks’ are ideal tools for rental companies operating in the AV sector,” believes Dean Davoile.
